Objectives

Are you an Electrician with good communication skills, who continually works to high standards and is willing to work flexible hours, including weekends? Do you want to be a part of a rapidly expanding company within a growing market? This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our Installations Team. Role would suit a recently Qualified Electrician who is looking to expand his knowledge base.

Key Responsibilities

• Working within Retail, office and Industrial (DC’s) Environments
• Installation of cable management / containment systems to support the Electrical, Data/Fibre Cabling meeting the latest building regulations
• Electrical Terminating, Testing and Certification
• Supporting Project Managers with projects, assist with site surveys and project milestones
• Communicating clearly with clients, engineers, and managers
• Providing progress reports and weekly efficiency reports to clients and project managers
• Assist with logistics/materials ordering as necessary
• Co-ordinating works with other contractors on site and resolve site issues
• Health and safety requirements; in particular working safely on site and working at height

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

• Installation of Structured Cabling, fibre and BT multicores throughout office, retail and industrial spaces
• GCSE Level – including Maths & English
• City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 (with a recognised apprenticeship) with AM2
• Or City & Guilds 2382-10 and 2382-20 or equivalent
• ECS Card
• IPAF
• City & Guilds 2391-10 (52) Inspection & Testing or equivalent City & Guilds 2394/95 initial verification, periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting of electrical installations
• City & Guilds 2382-18: 18th Edition
• City & Guilds 2400, 2396 In Electrical Design, verification, inspection and testing
• Manufacturer’s Courses – Connectix, Excel, Systimax, Brand Rex etc
• NVQ L3 Data Cabling or Cablenet Qualification (CNCI)
• NVQ Level 3/equivalent or above in Structured (Data) Cabling or IT Networking

Working Location/Environment

To be successful you will live in a 30 mile radius from one of our sites  (Swindon / Dudley / Rochester / Manchester). If successful you will work alongside our Installation/Network Engineers across the country designing, installing and then certifying any electrical works carried out in parallel with the installation of structured cabling teams.
