EPOS Engineer

Objectives

This is a very exciting time to join ISG TECH, a rapidly growing wireless systems integrator who have created LAN connectivity solutions for some of the UK’s best known companies. ISG TECH’s expertise is used in a wide range of sectors and technologies, from installing and maintaining LAN/WLAN into supermarket and retail chains; other industry includes hotels, restaurants and educational establishments, along with much, much more!
Do you want to be a part of a rapidly expanding company within a growing market? This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Field IT & EPOS Support Engineer who is able to provide high level software & hardware support within the retail industry
The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, testing and configuration of all parts of various IT and EPOS systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of manned epos equipment
• Installation and configuration of self-service checkouts
• Decommission of existing IT equipment
• Installation and configuration of PCs, printers
• Installation of software following a scripted procedure
• Provide electronic sign off and asset capture for each installation

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Solid experience in a customer facing IT Support role
  • IT hardware break-fix & software experience
  • EPOS / IMAC experience
  • Full UK driver’s license
  • Previous experience of QSR / Retail installations and Breakfix visits
  • Ability to use power tools (SDS Drill, Cordless Battery Drill)
  • Ability to work at height (IPAF Certified Preferred)
  • Previous experience in the installation and deployment of systems using correct and documented procedures
  • Willingness to work on systems in which they are untrained providing they have support
