ISG Tech are looking to fill approx 15 x FTTH Engineer vacancies across the UK . If you have been working in the Field Service sector and have a minimum of 1 years’ experience, this role will suit.

The Field Engineering Teams will, under the direction of the Project Managers, be responsible for 2 x parts of the Installation of FTTH as detailed below.
Role 1: The Communal Infrastructure Engineers, the teams will be installing a passive install from the incoming headend to the external doorway of each apartment within the communal hallway of the apartment block.
Role 2: The Residential Installation Engineer, the engineer will install a plug and play solution installing a pre terminated fibre optic cable from the external doorway to the router location where connection is made. The engineer will follow a script to install the preconfigured router and commission/test the router to connect to the external network.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of FTTH Broadband services in residential/business premises. After training has been provided.
- Self-audit all work and ensure it meets all applicable technical and operational quality standards.
- Work efficiently and tidily, maintaining a clean environment and at all times.
- Respond effectively and appropriately to all customer requests and enquiries.
- Complete work to agreed time scales.
- Comply with Health & Safety standards.
- Ensure that all work activities comply with environmental regulations.
- Conduct daily checks of plant and tools, ensure they are safe to use and where applicable carry valid calibration certificates.
- Ability to take direction from management and execute works in an efficient manner.
- Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, conferring with management.
- Customer focused with a professional outward attitude.
- Flexibility to undertake works outside core working hours.
- Quick learning skills.
- Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Must hold a full UK driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
- Must be prepared to learn new skills (Training will be provided)
- Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients
- Experience in utilising testing equipment
- Ability to safely utilise an SDS Drill
- Ability to gain a DBS check
Working Location/Environment
You will live in a 30 mile radius from one of our sites (Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Watford).
